Gossip
The followers, clones and gossips
Who don’t want to see you light up
Hands in, for the lift
Mentioning fifty names a second,
No iconic observations and
symbology, it’s just nasty
No wordsmith telling their stories
You repeat everything that said to you
As if you revel in the spreading, that
you twist
..
I try to offer you kindness in my head
When you are judgement
Insecurity threatening your play pen
The tongue never meets calmness
of solitude, inside your lips
What is she wearing?
Why does individuality cause your callousness to come out
Yell it out, point loudly
and take a sip
..
It’s the tea, is it darling?
I prefer raspberry and eucalyptus
Silky ears and loving eyes are what life is
all about
Soft, serenity as we dip into joyful
and sit there
Let the waves wash us over
When we doubt the instincts
That are the foundations and, one day,
wisdom, of our house
..
We’re all just grown up children
Wriggling in discomfort at what this all is
Looking outwards with kindness
It could be anyone, that you get malicious about
Tortured Poets feel our tongues
firmly-in-cheek and phlegm stored up
and spewing
You claim, as we don’t listen, that we hiss
..
Why can’t a woman be powerful?
You’d take her, use that dirty mouth of
yours to kiss
But, please, no - you state your facts
And tell us you are the pillar of virtue
Printing reels of untruths
In a world where paws are bliss
..
Ganging up and cruelty, not understanding the importance of mental health
Tortured daggers yield in iconic displays
But, we’re all just going to hell
..
There’s a difference between talking about your experience
Telling your story
and trying to shift me, pull me in,
And you snap my organs as the discomfort
twists
Worse when I learn to lift
Get myself out of the situation
and see this for the wounded,
that I can’t bandage
Openness, comfort and connection
This is where the moment IS
..
Because, what you say about others,
you’d definitely say about me
Humans that get excited and hurt
Of all the things
and puppy smells of pure and gentle
That’s what loosens the chains when
they tighten
And that’s what keeps me free
..

Shame
Have been thinking about shame. If anybody else blamed themselves or felt that they were faulty, somehow, I would say ‘of course not’.
