Do dogs smell colour
and does music have a breath
As well, as depth?
Can dogs see invisibility between
galaxies
Merging spaces between our worlds
Their visual plains
Whole new patterns
and the next?
..
Spooks and shocks of every day
When screeching engines
don’t even speak
Souls knowing when one another
are trying
- and dying
The skies open
Thunder shakes
Wanting us to feel something
So, velvet ears name the energy that
recommends tenderness
And feel the sanctity, of peace
..
Humans needing support and a hand
To hold
Scare each other when river banks
breach
Taking life
and hurting it into spirals
Longing for connection
Leading to a fear, that’s frightful
I can’t hold you
We are no community
It’s got nothing to do with me!
..
A request, tying and turning human forces inwards
The moments, my psyche
bled
They deny we all bleed
We consumed coarse, heavy knots
and choke on each other’s greed
..
Humans not treasuring one another
No layering up kindness
The moments that fragmented
- and that instinct forgot
Your dread feels white,
Cloaks us like a dagger
Covers living, like a sheet
Freshly cut grass does have a taste
Like the scent of a ticking clock
..
Shades of mauve, fifty trenches deep
Capturing, feeling, tasting
and holding, like a beacon
What their body stores
No encoding
The gentleness
In intricacies
Every world thriving
Shutdown by all the things
Spaces open, warmth beaming
When we sleep
..
Awaken all, and everything
That no senses, and nonsense, forgot
The distinction between dreams
and realities
Held between paws
Around entities where the mic
long since dropped
…
..
Anxious, ambivalent, scared, traumatised ..
